Trigger Finger

Trigger finger occurs when the movement of one of the finger bones becomes impaired. Trigger finger is prevalent in people who frequently perform tasks that require repetitive movements and the forceful use of the fingers or thumb.

Symptoms include painful snapping when bending or straightening the finger, popping sounds when moving the finger, finger stiffness and soreness at the base of the finger or thumb. More severe conditions can cause the finger to become permanently stuck in a bent position.

“I've sat in ER's for hours then sat in a 'treatment' room for longer waiting to be told to see some other doctor in another location the following week. DOC is so much better! No comparison.”
