Ruptured Biceps Tendon

A rupture of the biceps tendon occurs most frequently after falling on an outstretched hand, lifting heavy objects, or engaging frequently in athletic activities that can be hard on the biceps. Oftentimes, the rupture is followed by an audible pop or snap.

Symptoms of a biceps tendon rupture include pain near the front of the shoulder and/or pain that radiates down the biceps region.
