Ganglion Cysts

Ganglion cysts are fluid-filled lumps that appear most commonly on the back of the hand, near to the wrist joint. They can also appear on the palm side of the wrist.

People who develop ganglion cysts may experience some degree of pain, but—oftentimes—the only sign or symptom is visual appearance. In some cases, a ganglion cyst can be connected to a tendon, which may cause weakness in the affected finger.
