Fractures

Ankle fractures occur when the ankle joint undergoes an amount of stress that causes the bone to give in and break. This injury is quite common—oftentimes the end result of a bad ankle roll, a twist, or an extension.

Most people recognize an ankle fracture by the immediate, intense pain that occurs at the time of injury. In addition to pain, the symptoms of ankle fractures include swelling, and bruising. In more severe cases, deformities of bone around the injured area can occur.

“DOC was great. I walked in and they had me taken care of and out of there fast. After care was the same. If you hurt yourself, it doesn’t get better than this!”
