Biceps Tendonitis

Biceps tendons are a type of connective tissue that link the biceps muscle to the shoulder and arm bones. A sudden injury or overuse of the tendons can cause damage, leading to biceps tendonitis in the elbow (also known as distal biceps tendonitis).

Oftentimes, this condition results from lifting too much weight, increased usage of the arms, and repetitive motions that place a low level of consistent stress on the tendons. Damage to the biceps tendons often results in weakness in the arm, tenderness near to the front of the elbow, and pain that worsens when the elbow is bent or the forearm is twisted.

“I've sat in ER's for hours then sat in a 'treatment' room for longer waiting to be told to see some other doctor in another location the following week. DOC is so much better! No comparison.”
