Arthritis in the foot or ankle is common. This condition can occur when one or more of the joints in the foot or ankle becomes inflamed. People with arthritis in the foot or ankle area often experience joint pain and inflammation.
Other symptoms include feelings of tenderness when pressure is applied to the affected area, increased pain following strenuous activity, and joint swelling or redness.
