Shoulder Impingement

Shoulder impingement occurs when the space between the rotator cuff and the acromion (the bone on top of your shoulder) narrows. This narrow space causes friction between the acromion, the bursa, and the tendon as they begin to rub against one another.

In most cases, shoulder impingement is caused by repetitive lifting or overhead activities involving the arm. Common symptoms of this condition include persistent pain that worsens when lifting or reaching, especially behind the back or overhead.

The care and follow-up I received were awesome. The doctor took the time with me so I'd understand what I needed to do to heal.
