Fractures

Fractures are extremely common. They occur when the bone is impacted by more pressure than it can support. Shoulder fractures occur when the shoulder suffers a direct and forceful impact, typically from a traumatic incident such as a fall or motor vehicle accident.

The symptoms associated with a shoulder fracture are dependent on the exact type of fracture that occurs. In general, symptoms of a shoulder fracture include swelling and bruising, pain that worsens when pressure is applied, and an inability to move the shoulder.
