Professional and Research interests

Dr. Craig Smith is Board Certified in Family Medicine and specializes in Sports Medicine. He moved to Boise from Sioux Falls where he was working in a large orthopedic clinic as the Sports Medicine director.

Dr. Smith works closely with physical therapists and surgeons and is able to coordinate the quickest, most effective course of treatment for each patient.

Dr. Smith enjoys working with athletes and works to tailor treatment plans to the individual patients based on their unique needs. Whether they are a first time exerciser or an elite level athlete the same injury can be treated various ways; rather than a standardized cookbook it’s ‘gourmet medicine’.

Treatable Injuries Include: Concussions, Acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, Fractures, Compartment Syndrome, Platelet Rich Plasma Injections, Sports Nutrition.

Kyle Palmer

Kyle Palmer, MD

Dr. Palmer has lived in Boise since 1992. His practice includes arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, and workers compensation injuries. A large part of his practice focuses on knee and shoulder injuries, with an emphasis on ligament reconstructive surgery.

He has worked extensively with the Idaho Youth Soccer Association, Capital Youth Soccer Association, and the U.S. Regional Olympic Development Program.

He currently serves on the board of the Idaho Medical Association. He has been on the Ada County Medical Society board, past President 2014. He served 10 years on the board of The Meridian Education Foundation, serving Meridian, Eagle, Star, and West Boise school districts. He served in the US Navy Reserve Medical Corp from 1988-1998. He also maintains a close affiliation with the Family Practice Residency of Idaho serving as a proctor. He continues with his position on the Advisory board for the Health Occupations Program of the Meridian School District.

Dr. Palmer, his wife Jill, and children currently reside in Boise. The family’s outside interests include skiing, golfing, and trail riding.

Professional and Research Interests

Dr. William Lindner specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee including sports injuries and chronic conditions. Dr. Lindner had extensive fellowship training at Wake Forest University in the field of Arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery.

Conditions treated include sports injuries of the shoulder, rotator cuff tears, impingement, bursitis, shoulder dislocation and instability, AC/shoulder separation. Knee Injuries treated include sports injuries, meniscal tears, ACL and other ligament injuries, and cartilage restoration. Additionally his practice includes treatment of fractures.

Dr. Lindner is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Travis J. Kemp, MD

Professional and Research interests

Dr. Travis J. Kemp is a Board-certified orthopedic surgeon practicing in Boise, Idaho since 2009. He is a specialist in surgery of the foot and ankle, but also treats other common orthopedic disorders. Dr. Kemp is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.

His practice is focused on complex foot and ankle reconstruction and he routinely takes on the most difficult foot and ankle cases in Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Montana, Wyoming, and Northern Utah. In many cases, patients are referred to him as the last resort before amputation is necessary, and he is able to salvage most of these cases.

In addition to complex foot and ankle reconstruction cases, he is also an expert in the care of common foot and ankle conditions. Additionally, Dr. Kemp has advanced training in sports injuries and trauma to the foot and ankle.
